The Crasche^® mid-length hat, or the Crasche Middie™, provides the head protection that is needed for girls lacrosse.

The Crasche Middie™ does not cover the entire head. The players have requested the open top, and we have responded, since no head protection is beneficial unless the girls actually wear it.

Proper fit is very important with the Crasche Middie.
To determine your head (hat) size, measure your head as shown on the right, using a flexible tape measure, starting at the middle of your forehead. Measure circumference of head just above top of ears. Wrap tape gently around head making certain tape lies midway on top of your occipital bone (that little bump in the middle of the back of your head).

• For a head circumference of 21.5 inches and smaller, order the Small.

• For a head circumference from 21.5 inches to 22.5 inches, order a Med/Large. When in doubt, order the Med/Large.

• For a head circumference above 22.5 inches, order an X-Large.

Materials: The hat body is poly spandex athletic mesh, and the inner liner is a soft cotton terry. The outer layer of the inserts are composed of an extremely strong polycarbonate plastic, the same material used to make bullet-proof glass. The inner layers are composed of neoprene rubber, the same skin-friendly material used in making wet suits. The inner layer of neoprene rubber has a series of air chamber. These air chambers help cushion the impact, and help spread the force of the impact over the entire insert.

Cleaning: Machine wash, air dry, or low dry. Take the inserts out prior to washing.
