Crasche Lacrosse Head Protection
For Practice Use Only
Original US Lacrosse Association allowance not extended to the Middie.

In a shameful and callous decision, the USL has voted not to allow the game use of the Crasche Middie.

Their reason is that the Middie might harm another player. The independent lab report, shown below, clearly proves that the Middie poses NO DANGER to another player. It shows, in fact, that the Middie is actually SAFER for the other payers. USL has this report.

By denying players the use of this very effective head protection, is the USL endangering players, or helping them.

Is player safety a priority for the USL? I'll let the readers look at the lab test results and decide for themselves.

• We call for the USL to gather, maintain, and publish the actual number of concussions that occur in girls lacrosse each year. We cannot find this information anywhere on the USL web site. The number could be over 5,000 concussions a year in girls lacrosse.

• Without this information, players and the parents of the players, have no way of judging the concussion risks that they are taking.

• We believe it is the USL's responsibility to supply accurate data on the risk of concussion.

• If you have considered using a Middie, but have not due to the USL non allowance, kindly contact us.

The Crasche® mid-length hat, or the Crasche Middie™, provides the head protection that is needed for girls lacrosse.

The Crasche Middie™ does not cover the entire head. The players have requested the open top, and we have responded, since no head protection is beneficial unless the girls actually wear it.

The Crasche Middie™ is not designed to replace a helmet, but it is a lot better than nothing on your head. It is three-and-a-half inches high, and will fit snugly against the top of the goggles.
